When you’re power flushing a vented system, you’ll have a tank in the loft to bail out before you clean it up. If you want to empty it out cleanly, quickly and without mess, use a Kamco battery operated syphon pump to pump the water into a bucket.

Once you have one, you’ll keep finding other uses for it:

• Emptying the water out of a toilet bend before replacing a throne.
• Emptying out the last dregs of water from your Clearflow tank.
• Decanting flushing chemicals or corrosion inhibitor from larger packs into small ones.
• Emptying a blocked sink before attacking the pipe work.
